Zahren Financial Co, LLC (ZFC), the Manager of Clean Feet Investors I, LLC (CFI) is proud to announce a $7,000.00 matching donation to the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS). The donation, made by ZFC from the Management Fees earned by running CFI, resulted from matching voluntary gifts to UCS in late 2017 by a number of individual investors in the Clean Feet Investors I, LLC Fund.
Bernie Zahren, CEO of ZFC, stated: “The Union of Concerned Scientists is a beacon of clear and honest scientific exploration of topics related to Climate Change and other critical issues for our troubled planet. Our CFI investors are to be commended in sharing their financial returns from CFI with UCS.”
The 2017 matching gift initiative for Clean Feet Investors was an initial trial effort to support one specific non-profit (UCS). ZFC intends to explore how creative links between investments in sustainability and the NGO community could be brought together in a more meaningful expression of gratitude toward these essential activist groups in future years.

About The Union of Concerned Scientists
The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) puts rigorous, independent science to work to solve our planet’s most pressing problems. Joining with people across the country, we combine technical analysis and effective advocacy to create innovative, practical solutions for a healthy, safe, and sustainable future. In today’s polarized political environment, UCS leads with solutions: helping communities and elected officials find the best ways to respond to the consequences of climate change, cut our oil use in half, ramp up renewable energy, reduce the threat from nuclear weapons, build a healthier food system, and much more. We believe that scientific analysis—not political calculations or corporate hype—should guide government policies.
